Meet the Team
Stephen B. Wechsler, CLU
CEO
Steve received his M.S.in Mathematics from New York University. While working on his Ph.D. thesis, he joined the military and served as an Army Officer for two years. During the Vietnam War, he was second in command of a missile base in Korea. After his service, he entered the life insurance business and received his Chartered Life Underwriter Degree from The American College of Life Underwriters.
Steve has over 50 years of experience in the insurance industry. He was Founder/CEO of Wechsler Associates Inc. NY for over 40 years. His philosophy is true customer advocacy: helping clients keep more of what they earn, either for retirement or to pass on to the next generation. Steve is a Life Member of the Top of the Million Dollar Round Table, placing him among the top one percent of insurance professionals in the world.
Now as President/CEO of Option Life, he continues this customer advocacy as he helps find the best solution for anyone considering their next move with their existing life insurance policies. Steve has over 40 years’ experience in helping his clients sell their insurance as they make important financial decisions about their policies.
Laura Askowitz

Laura’s twenty-year career focus has been in sales, human resources, and — most recently —serving the community as CEO for Florida non-profit KidSafe Foundation, Inc. She carries that same commitment to helping people to Option Life, Inc. as a partner to you and your family as you decide your life insurance needs.
Laura has a daughter in college, and a doodle named Margot!
